She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art, with an emphasis in painting and drawing, from the University of Texas at Austin. Since then, she has lived and worked in Austin, Los Angeles and Minneapolis. She currently lives in the lakes and mountains region of New Hampshire, where she has taught art at Plymouth State University and other teaching studios.
